MUSIC
IDEAL
SENSORY is an immersive installation that aims to transcend traditional boundaries, intertwining music, dance, gastronomy, and design to create a multi-sensory experience. Through a blend of woodworking, light manipulation, music, live performance, and gastronomy, SENSORY invites participants into a realm where art forms converge and collide, igniting a synthesis of the senses.
Through the fusion of informal and formal arts, SENSORY challenges conventional notions of artistic expression, blurring the lines between structure and spontaneity, theory and practice.
The installation's visual elements, characterized by the contrast of dark tones and bursts of hard-edged light, serve as the canvas on which different sensory experiences ebb and flow, as symbols of death, sorrow, and hope emerge amidst the upcycled woodwork and burnt textures.
The essence of SENSORY lies not in its predefined meaning, but in the journey of discovery it offers each observer and participant. The experience prompts viewers to explore their own interpretations and draw connections between the different elements presented before them.
At its genesis, the project was born from a desire to bring together elements and people from marginalized sub-cultures and their dominant culture through creolization and eclecticism.
In essence, SENSORY is an invitation to experience an expression in which categorical boundaries dissolve, and the senses reign supreme.
COMMUNITY
After the experiential section of the event, the installation transforms into a dynamic hub of interaction and dialogue. As the figurative curtains draw, participants are invited to engage directly with the artists behind the creation, delving deeper into the inspirations, techniques, and stories that brought SENSORY to life. This intimate Q&A session provides an opportunity for attendees to gain insights into the creative process and forge personal connections with the minds behind the project.
The conversation doesn't stop there. As the evening unfolds, SENSORY blossoms into an open forum where ideas flow freely and perspectives collide. Here, amidst the lights and lingering echoes, participants are encouraged to share their interpretations, sparking discussions and provoking new insights. Topics can range from the societal impact of contemporary art and its categorization to brainstorming innovative approaches for immersive installations. The possibilities are merely restricted by time.
